Having been an underprivileged youth, I have a passion for teaching and mentoring underprivileged young women. My passion was and still is the driving force in why I began the Bird’s Nest. My hope is to create a program in which The Bird’s Nest can be a business that not only offers merchandise for young women, but also has a mission to raise up underprivileged young women with a portion of its proceeds, either through sponsorship or another larger not-for-profit organization. My hope is that The Bird’s Nest will eventually grow to a size where it will be able to sponsor many young women at a time to be mentored and cultivated to their full potential. My first step in fulfilling that hope is by pursuing opportunities that will help further and continue The Bird’s Nest while also spreading the word through my mission statement so that others can be educated on what The Bird’s Nest aims to do and in result generate supporters, donors, and volunteers that share that same passion. My theory is that as more people become aware of how The Bird’s Nest blog, message, passion, and means positively affect young women, then they will be drawn to contribute the resources needed to expand. My hope is that you will join me in my passion!
